Material and Contract Services (MACS) is a US company that specializes in providing Purchasing support and Contract Negotiation, traffic and logistics and Commodity management support to domestic and international companies.
MACS’ team of procurement/supply chain professionals have extensive experience in purchasing materials, equipment, spare parts and services, as well as in negotiating transportation and export documentation agreements. The services include locating supply items, spare parts and equipment used in the mining, construction, healthcare, manufacturing and service industries. We specialize in locating and purchasing items and equipment in short-supply or allocated conditions. Our contracts/agreements with distributors and manufacturers increase our capability of getting the parts when needed.

Agreement/Contract Negotiations and Award Process

  • For large dollar procurements and supplies required on an ongoing base, we will prepare RFI/ RFP documents. This process includes analyzing market/supply conditions, identifying and qualifying suppliers, creating negotiating strategies for the procurement, conducting pre-bid and post-award sessions, awarding the agreement and preparing contract/purchase administration procedures.
  • Negotiate in-country and outbound air and ocean transportation agreements, including rates and handling for emergency and normal purchase.
  • Negotiate or perform export documentation services.
  • Negotiate and award ‘inspection service’ agreement.

BIDDING

MACS will perform bidding services on an individual line item, requisition or on a short-term or long-term basis. Additionally, our online purchasing system can be used to bid a procurement using our online supplier base, or we can add additional suppliers based on the manufacturer or distributor of the part, supply item, or equipment. The bid module will evaluate bid replies.

EXPEDITING/INSPECTING SERVICES

We will follow-up with suppliers regarding shipping schedules and expedite purchases that require an earlier shipping date or ones that are at or beyond the scheduled shipping date. Information on delivery status changes and in-route information will e-mailed or faxed.

PART/EQUIPMENT WARRANTY PROCESSING

Our procurement specialists will work with equipment/parts suppliers to capture funds for warranty claims, or obtain RGA documents for a return.

IN-COUNTRY REPRESENTATION

Material and Contract Services can assign a procurement, supply chain, materials management or contract specialist to represent the company’s services. This service includes developing programs to ‘bundle’ or ‘combine’ purchase needs.

REPORTING

Reports would be presented to the client and can be structured to the specific needs of our off-shore clients. For instance, dollars spent by commodity type, by equipment make/model/type and by month, etc.
